2004: Enrolled in Henley Management College part time distance MBA.

The planning tool that inspires the most creative results is a hunger to find fresh ideas in the street & in people's homes. The same applies to clients, understanding their business challenges & offering creative solutions at every step .

I see an MBA as a language course, something to help translate the complexity of clients' needs into the kind of simple stories that call normal people into action.

1998: Axis Creative Advertising School: Placed in Colenso BBDO as a Copywriter

Axis is New Zealand’s top creative training course and covers all disciplines. Positions are scarce & trainees spend months in an agency working on live briefs. This course showed me exactly why you always question the brief.

1992 - 1994: Master Of Arts (Hons) in English Literature; University of Auckland, New Zealand.

I did best where language is alive. Writing to be spoken, seen, heard & performed like contemporary poetry & drama. The degree includes postgrad Political Science papers on audience behaviour & qualitative media study. My BA is Political Science & a wonderful muddle of History, Philosophy & German & Classics.

1994: New Zealand National Drama School, Writing for Stage and Screen.

This course is taught by leading playwrights & TV script writers. The craft of storytelling is central to creatively communicating the deep content of brand identity.

2002: Welcome In Wellington - Open Letter to Frustrated Sydney Babes. Sydney Morning Herald, Australia.
2001: Kids' Stuff - Cultural Capital or Compulsive Consumerism? Unlimited Magazine, New Zealand.
2000: Ambient Media - Finding New Surfaces To Plaster. Unlimited Magazine, New Zealand.
